Part D – Prescription Drug Coverage

Original Medicare parts A&B do not include coverage for your prescriptions. Part D is prescription drug coverage for Medicare beneficiaries. You can enroll in a stand-alone prescription drug plan (PDP), or you can enroll in a Part C plan that includes Part D (MAPD). It’s very important you add Part D coverage to make sure your prescriptions are more affordable and to avoid any late enrollment penalties for Part D.
