Medicare

As we age, quality healthcare is more important than ever. Often, employers make health insurance decisions for us, so determining what to do with Medicare can be overwhelming. Our goal is to help you better understand your Medicare health plan options so you can make a decision that improves your quality of life.

The different parts of Medicare help cover specific services:

  • Medicare Part A (hospital insurance)
  • Medicare Part B (medical insurance)
  • Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)
  • Medicare Part D (prescription drug coverage)
  • Medigap or Medicare Supplement

What is Medicare?

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people 65 or older, or younger people with certain disabilities or end-stage renal disease. Original Medicare is made up of two parts. Part A covers hospitalization, and Part B covers outpatient services like doctor visits. After you enroll in Medicare A&B through social security, you can shop for important additional coverage to help you with costs and services not covered by Medicare A&B.

To learn more about your options, review our Medicare and Retirement Workbook, visit our events page for upcoming Medicare Education Seminars, or call for a one-on-one appointment.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
