Medigap

You may have heard your friends or family talking about their “Plan F” or “Plan G” coverage for Medicare. These are examples of Medigap coverage, also called Medicare supplement plans. These types of plans are sold by private insurance companies to supplement your Medicare coverage. It’s a way to “fill the gaps” left by original Medicare. For example, Part B pays for 80% of covered doctor visits. Depending on which Medigap plan you choose, your plan may cover some or all the remaining 20%.
